Customer goes digital
Digital Customers – the so-called IDC, Insurance Digital Customers – are proliferating everywhere, including in Italy. According to 2021 Prima Assicurazioni Observatory, to sign up to or renew insurance contracts online, 4 out of 10 Italians already preferred using their smartphone instead of laptops, even before the pandemic.
Digitalization is growing in all industries and in the insurance field too, evolving its models through new features for products customization and new payment methods, focusing on safety and protection with blockchain technology.
At the same time, new technologies make it possible to improve new services, opening the insurance ecosystem to new sectors and smart policies. Last but not least, the insurance industry shows the importance of values: communication, in fact, increasingly embraces social and environmental issues to bring people closer to organizations.
