Objectives
One of the 10 largest sites in Italy, Subito needed a more secure tag management solution to meet users’ privacy expectations. In particular, the company wanted to collect data with users’ consent on the website’s server, and no longer on browsers, for greater control and a reduced risk of data breach. Another goal was to improve site speed and data quality.
This project enabled us to tackle the privacy issue head-on, involving different professionals within the work team and further strengthening the cross-functional collaboration between tech, product, marketing and legal.

Approach
The synergy between Webranking’s digital analytics team and Subito’s marketing, product, tech and legal teams allowed us to complete the migration to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) in just 3 months, in order to achieve all the above-mentioned objectives. This included improving the quality of conversion tracking between Google and the Subito database, speeding up website load times, and creating a risk-free data environment.
